Mangalsutra

MangalSutra is the finest ornament of Indian married woman. A typical MangalSutra is a black beads necklace with two semi hollow plates pendant. To my surprise this is the most appreciated section and I do get lot of request to recreate these designs in different styles that look unique, beautiful and elegant.

  

I design this necklace out of semi precious stones or Silver bhoar beads to give them an old fashioned Maharastrian look. I love to mix semi precious stones with every necklace that I design since they look so natural and elegant.

   

Kundan is found in many rajasthani ornaments. I have used in some of the below designs to give distinctive touch to our Mangalsutra. The long variant of the mangalsutra looks pretty on an Indian Saree.

  

We as well design the long variant of Mangalsutra using coral, matte finish gold beads, jail balls. We use more threads of black beads especially to give traditional and rustic look to the these designs.

  

I found that Kudi design is used in many of Maharashtrian special earring pattern, but then I thought to create unique Kudi mangalsutra for daily wear.
